What is Electronic Air Purifiers?

Electronic Air Purifiers
As allergies and asthma now affect more than 50 million Americans, the concern for safe indoor air quality has rapidly increased. Now more than ever, Americans are looking for ways to improve their indoor air quality. Electronic air purifiers lead the pack in advancements for cleaner air.

Electronic air cleaners are able to remove particles, fumes, odors and gases from the air. The technology used in electronic air cleaners makes them one of the most effective and advanced types of air purifiers on the market today. Electronic air purifiers are an efficient and low maintenance type of air purifier. They are easy to care for and deliver the same quality as other filtering systems on the market. With at least 95% efficiency, it's no wonder that electronic air purifiers are becoming a popular and convenient way to provide clean and healthy air.

There are two different types of electronic air purifiers. Some electronic air purifiers use a one-stage system to clean the air while some use a two-stage system. The one-stage system in an electronic air purifier charges the particles and sticks them to the collection plates. There is only one step that the air goes through of filtering once it enters the air purifier. In a two-stage system, however, the air enters the air purifier and the particles in the air are charged using high-voltage wires. The charged particles are then pulled into metal plates that are charged oppositely. Both types of electronic air purifiers are just as effective at removing particles from the air.

There is a wide variety of home air purification units available on the market. Prices range from under $100 for a very basic unit that can effectively clean the air in a small room, to elaborate whole home air purification systems that can cost up to thousands of dollars, depending on the size of the house and the level of purification desired.

Why Do You Need Electronic Air Purifier

Electronic Air Purifiers
Electronic air purifier products are used for businesses and residences in order to keep the air indoors safer and healthier for people to breathe. They are proven to be more efficient at absorbing particles and low maintenance type of air purifier. Electronic air cleaners are able to remove particles, fumes, odors and gases from the air and are usually quieter than media air cleaners. Electronic Air Purifiers produce a controlled level of Ozone electrically by converting molecules of Oxygen (O2)into molecules of Ozone (O3)and also have the benefit of being capable of cleaning the air of your entire house if the unit is placed in the appropriate place and the correct settings are used. Their design is simple and typically require only periodic maintenance following instructions in the owner's manual. Electronic air purifiers are very much efficient in purifying the air; with an efficiency rate of about 95%. Electronic air purifiers are highly efficient systems for absorbing particles from the air to make our living and working conditions cleaner.

ELECTRONIC AIR PURIFIER QUESTIONS
Why would I need to purify the air when I have a 1" filter in my central air system?
Those 1" filters are generally designed to protect the inner-workings of your central air system. They do not filter the air efficiently enough to reduce indoor air pollution and to alleviate allergy symptoms. Filters tend to capture only the larger of the many potentially harmful airborne particles found in most indoor environments, leaving many of the smaller, and more harmful, behind to be inhaled by you or your family. Filters need to be replaced, plates need to be cleaned, etc.

Electronic Air Purifiers
Electronic air purifiers are proven to be 95% efficient and can absorb most particles from the air. They are highly efficient systems for absorbing particles from the air to make our living and working conditions cleaner. Electronic air purifiers are low maintenance and only require cleaning of the collection plates for optimal efficiency. Electronic air purifiers are often used in medical buildings due to their effectiveness, and also because they are very quiet in operation. They are perfect for individuals who don't want to worry about the costly replacements of HEPA filters. HEPA, that stands for High Efficiency Particulate Arresting, are filters that are very efficient at removing micron size contaminants from the air that you would otherwise constantly breathe in during the day and night. HEPA air filters are not efficient at removing some particles like cigarette smoke so are often used in combination with other filters such as carbon filters. Electronic Air Purifiers are being used both in houses and offices and are sometimes offered as alternatives to HEPA filters.

Electronic air purifiers are a safe way to keep the air in your house particle free.

Electronic Air Purifiers

Air purifiers are electronic devices that are used to clean up the air. They do this by reducing or completely eliminating the number of harmful air particles or contaminants in the air. There are two different types of electronic air purifiers. These are the negative ion generators and the ozone air-purifiers.
Both types of electronic air purifiers are just as effective at removing particles from the air.

Ionic Air Purifiers

The basic principle of these air purifiers is based on the concept of static electricity. What it does is while the air passes through the purifier it charges the air negatively by releasing negative ions. Now these negative ions come in contact with the positive ions present in the air. These would include the regular pollutants like dust, bacteria, pollen and chemicals. These remain suspended in the air and we breathe them in along with the air. Now the negative and positive charges immediately bond together and fall to the ground. This is a very simple and basic method, but at the end of the day it works.

Ozone Air Purifiers

The second variety of electronic air purifiers is the ozone air purifier. However, this variety of air purifier has been embroiled in much controversy and there is little indication that the controversy is going to die down anytime soon.

Ozone air purifiers actually release ozone in the air. The principle is that ozone is composed of three atoms of oxygen of which the third atom is a free radical and readily reacts with any organic substance. The manufacturers' theory is that the free radical reacts with the organic substances in the air, thus decreasing pollution. And in the process the two other atoms are now released as oxygen which further cleanses the air. The problem is that this free radical can actually react with the organic substances inside our body and this can be very harmful for our health and can seriously damage our lungs. So according to some, ozone air purifiers do us more harm than they aid us. There is definitely a need to look into the matter more seriously and there should be more research conducted before we can come to a conclusion about this variety of air purifiers.

Hopefully this has given you some insight into how electronic air purifiers work and the benefit they could potentially bring to your life.
You can purchase electronic air purifiers at most major department stores, hardware store and online.
